A six part series, proving the concept, but not beyong a reasonable doubt.

Proof of Concept (unproven): 2007. 8.5"x 6.5" ea. Pastel, ink, charcoal, pencil, acrylic fixative, on cut Ripple paper.

This 6 part series combines many of the recent and past concerns of finished/unfinished image, do-it-yourself, as well as line as artifact, artifact and archaeology. The imagery is based on landscape and architectural landscape themes. These could be arial views, as in the Groundworks series, or they could be traditional views of atmosohere over landmass.

The primary concern here is not the object or colour fields, but rather the space around and enclosing the fields. As with previous finished/unfinished themes, the viewer is invited to consider the image as it is supposed to appear, once assembled. The problem of course, is visually ignoring the information not intended as part of the picture plane.
